How?

Super Absorbent Polymer, is an artificially produced granular product which in granular form and exposed to water will hydrate and under lab conditions hold approximately 450 times its dry weight in water. As the soil dries out, the hydrated polymer slowly releases its stored water into the soil.

The polymer creates a semi permeable barrier in the plant's root zone which allows the plant more time to use the available water and nutrients, and allows herbicides and pesticides to remain longer in their critical "killing zones".

The polymer has a multi-year benefit depending on the application and the amount of tillage it experiences (it breaks down in ultra violet rays from the sun into ammonia, carbon dioxide, and water). Available information demonstrates a 4 to 5 year life in row crops and 8 to 9 year life in hay crops.
